Introduction

We all have free web based email accounts like yahoo, hotmail, etc. ...It's free and you can use them anywhere. You go to the web site to login with your account's user id/password and read your new emails. Over time during a typical day, you may repeat this process many times. And, you know it could be slow and you may not have any new emails after all. And, if you have a PDA device you may want to read/write your emails offline...You want download and send your emails from the PDA quickly and off moving to your next thing. Now, if you don't not have wireless connection or do not want to carry the sync cable around, then you are out of luck.

The cure is my 'ezEMail' system ... Easy E-mail ^-^. It comes in a PDA  program called 'ezEMailCtrl' and the server program 'ezEMail', which runs on a Windows based computer that connects to the Internet.

Here's how it works:

ezEMail.exe includes GUI to let the user setup free web accounts/passwords, then it fetches and sends your emails in the background automatically using the Internet connection from your Windows computer, while you can read/write any emails from the interfaces it provides. The emails are downloaded very quickly (text only!) unlike your browser which downloads graphics and pops you know what ;-) Emails are sorted and put into their InBox. If you write/send a new email, the server will send it in the background and you can move right away.

As for PDA 'ezEMailCtrl', the software uses infrared or Sync/USB or wireless to connect to the server computer. It automatically 'sync in' your email accounts, download new emails and upload any new emails you have written on your PDA.

In my daily routine, I run ezEMail on a notebook with Internet connection and use a iPaq 2200 Pocket PC for the emails on the go. Once I hear the audio notification of incoming new emails from the notebook, I would just point the PDA's infrared port to the notebook's infrared port and seconds later I have it all. I have saved great amount of time and really enjoy the speed and ease of use for my free web emails.
